Faith & Reason Conference |
 Antwoord, together with the Southern Evangelical Seminary, is hosting their annual Faith & Reason Conference in South Africa. This year there will be both a GAUTENG Conference and a CAPE Conference. Dr. William Lane Craig will be the main speaker at both Conferences and Antwoord will also be hosting debates, etc. where Dr. Craig will be the keynote speaker.

On the 25th of March 2010, the people in Lebanon celebrated the first ever “Islamic-Christian Day” in honour of the Virgin Mary. The Virgin Mary, who is revered by both Catholics and Muslims, has now clearly become a beacon of unity between different religions as many Bible students have forseen would happen eventually.

It is interesting to note that that almost every religion has some female deity which could be addressed as "the Queen of heaven". Could the Virgin Mary be the unifying factor to bring all religions together as one world religion?

Brian McLaren has long been a very prominent voice in the Emerging Church Movement and up until recently he has cleverly tried to cover his radical liberalism with the mask of an well intentioned evangelical pastor. But in his latest book A New Kind of Christianity, he has finally shown his true colors.

Have you ever really considered the Word of God? Have you ever thought about the power, the accuracy, the truth, the wisdom, the prophecies, the absolute ‘perfect-ness’ and the importance of the Word of God?
Because of His Word, people are saved, people are divided, people are tortured and people are killed. At the Word of God, the heavens and the earth were created from nothing.
“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
– Hebrews 11:3
What unimaginable power there is in the Word of God! What a privilege we have when we open the Bible and read that Word. It is very important to our understanding to realize that the Bible does not contain God’s Word, but the Bible IS God’s Word! This is why we can know with certainty that only the Bible, and no other book, is inerrant, inspired, infallible and the authoritative word of God, free from errors and contradictions.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
– 2 Timothy 3:16-17
So why does the Bible contain all we need for life and godliness and why does it supersede any other book ever written?
The Bible has an internal unity that far surpasses that of any other book in history. It is comprised of sixty-six books written by an extremely diverse group of forty authors, ranging from a king to a shepherd. The authors include a tax collector, a doctor, a poet, a general, a prime minister and a building contractor. Not only do these writers come from diverse backgrounds, but the time span which the Bible was written in stretches over fifteen hundred years and are comprised of three different languages. Yet there is no contradiction and the same message runs through all the books. Neither has any archaeological discovery ever contradicted a single Bible reference. That brings us to prophetic accuracy in the Bible…
